MATT KING
With more than thirty-four years of experience providing architectural services, Matt actively participates in all phases of projects including master planning, programming, design, project management, building code reviews, construction documents, and construction administration. Matt is an active member of the Tulsa Economic Development Corporation, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, AIA Eastern Oklahoma, an Advisory Board Member for the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, former commissioner for the Tulsa Preservation Commission and NCARB Certified. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas and is licensed in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri.

MIRANDA BRUENING
Miranda Bruening is an Independence, KS native.  Upon graduating from Kansas State University, Miranda worked in a high end residential interior design firm in Corpus Christi, TX.  She moved back to southeast Kansas a few years later and worked for Medicalodges as director of their facility design and then broke further into the architecture world when she worked for a Bartlesville, OK architecture firm.  There she sat for her interior design license exams and passed and started the process to sit for her architecture license which she is currently working on gaining.  During her 10 years of experience in the interior design and architecture sectors, she has been involved in numerous projects including AllianceHealth Madill, St. Johns School addition, Bartlesville Public School projects, Mutual Girls Club of Bartlesville, various Independent Housing Authority projects, Pawhuska Medical Clinic, various private residences and many more projects.  Miranda enjoys spending time with her family, husband Trevor, Rayden and infant daughter Taylie. She enjoys country living and being outdoors any way she can by hunting, fishing, horseback riding or ATV riding with her family and friends.

SEAN CLAPP

Sean Clapp originally from Kirksville, Mo studied Architecture at the University of Kansas.  Upon graduating From the University of Kansas in 1995 Sean moved to Independence, KS to work with Heckman & Associates, PA until 2020.  During Sean’s time with Heckman & Associates he obtained his License to practice architecture in the State of Kansas.  He has been involved in numerous projects including:  Mercy Hospital of Independence MRI Addition, Mercy Hospital Physicians Clinic & Renovation, Mercy Hospital Master Plan (Independence), Independence Riverside Park Pool Project, Penn Terrace Apartments ADA Improvements & Park, Kansas Aviation New Facility as well as addition, Parsons Theatre, Ernesto’s Restaurant, KIND Radio Interior Renovation, Four County Mental Health, Independence KS Community College West Main Campus Renovation.

During Sean’s time in Independence he has actively volunteered in the community by working on various committee’s during Independence’s Neewollah Festival or assisting during the Inge Festival, working on the Historic Resource Commission and a member of the Chief of Police’s advisory committee.

Sean has three children Alexis, Elizabeth & Owen.  When he is not volunteering or doing things with his kids Sean enjoys grilling, movies, KU basketball and spending time with his friends.
